Tiliva Resort on Kadavu is set in its own secluded bay with six deluxe bures and one main building all ten minutes from the famous Astrolabe Reef. The Astrolabe Reef is the third largest reef system in the world. It has 18 acres of leased land on a 99 year lease with 92 years left to run. It has six deluxe bures and a main bure housing reception,kitchen, dining room, bar, lounge area and a lovely open porch/veranda on the same level as the coconut trees. There is ample room for further development or sub-diving into plots for holiday homes for people wishing to live within a resort complex.
The bures are set back about 20 yds from the beach, all have full en suite facilities, 24 hour electricity, ceiling fans, private verandas and are nestled in the trees for privacy. They are block built with tiled floors and high wooden ceilings. The main bure is tiled throughout with high wooden ceilings. It also has the benefit of an open porch with a large veranda where guests can have meals overlooking the tropical gardens from where the Kadavu parrot can be seen flying past.
The fully equipped dive shop is close to the beach for easy access to the boats.
We generate our own electricity using an inverter system with batteries to store the power.
We grow a lot of our own vegetables and have an abundance of tropical fruits with lime trees, bananas, local pears, pineapples, guavas, mangoes, papays and of course lots of coconuts.
Kadavu has two flights per day from the main island of Viti Levu, one from Nadi International Airport and one from Nausori (Suva) airport.
The owners have past retirement age and this is the reason for selling
Kadavu is the fourth largest island in the Fiji Group but one of the least developed. There are no roads, no banks and no pollution. All transport is by boat. The resort is set in 18 acres of lush tropical gardens and only ten minutes from the famous Astrolabe Reef, where diving is second to none.
