To meet the resort condominium’s aesthetic as well as living requirements, only the best materials sourced from all over the world were used to guarantee that structures withstand the rigors of the environment that go hand-in-hand with life by the sea. For example, treated Radiata pinewoods from New Zealand were imported to help withstand extreme exposure to sun and water.

Sizzling Spanish party marks Amara en Terrazas’ grand launch
An extravagant fiesta, hot flamenco dance numbers, and cool Latin and Spanish guitar music mark the recent grand launch of Amara en Terrazas, Landco Pacific’s luxury oceanfront apartment in Terrazas de Punta Fuego, an exclusive residential resort community in Nasugbu, Batangas.
Aptly called La Feria de Abril, the launch treats members and guests of Club Punta Fuego to sumptuous Filipino and Spanish buffet with flowing sangria and margarita during the last weekend of April.
To complete a truly inspiring Andalucian ambiance, the Terrazas’ Beach Plaza, decorated with red and white paper lanterns and flowers, plays stage to the staccato and flamboyant steps of Fundacion Centro Flamenco, the country’s premier flamenco dancers. While the band Yerbaguena provides soothing Spanish guitar music during lunch, Arriba jumpstarts the siesta time with upbeat Latin music. Meanwhile, the guests’ children are sashayed to the beach area for parlor games with fun prizes and surprises.
Newscaster Pinky Webb plays the gracious hostess to a short program that see Alfred Xeres Burgos Jr., Landco Pacific’s president and CEO, warmly welcoming the guests; and Jose Antonio Xeres Burgos, SBU Head of Residential Resorts Group, narrating the romantic allure of the famous Munting Buhangin beach, fronting Amara en Terrazas.
Inspirations– a side event photo exhibit that features the works of Manila’s top magazine photographers namely Christian Panganiban, Frank Hoefsmit, Dr. Marlon Pecjo, and Sara Black– adds visual highlights to the event as nature, scenic, landscape, macro as well as abstract photographs taken in Amara en Terrazas and its forest enclaves hang on the posts and trees leading to the Beach Plaza.
After the program, guests are transported via Club Punta Fuego’s jeepney shuttle to Amara en Terrazas’ model unit – a three bedroom flat decorated with cozy tropical furniture and an expansive 180-degree terrace sunset view of the South China Sea with rich foliage as a foreground.
Surrounded by pockets of forest reserve and outlined by a gentle rolling terrain towards a majestic mountain ridge, Amara en Terrazas is an exclusive seaside residential resort condominium development. With a total of 95 prestigious units arranged in a single corridor, it offers 95 unique and unobstructed views of the pristine South China Sea, the Terrazas Cove and nearby communities. More than just the typical residential development, Amara en Terrazas is a fusion of Asian and Western architecture, characterized by the seamless integration of man-made and natural environment.
The development, set to unveil in 2008, will be arranged into two buildings– the three-storey Casa de Amor, and the seven-storey Casa del Mar. The buildings will be organized into clusters bordered by lush tropical landscaping and interconnected by link bridges.
Amara en Terrazas units are available exclusively for Club Punta Fuego members and are priced anywhere between P8 million to P12 million.
Seaside Luxury
Imagine this. You wake up every morning to the gentle breeze brushing on your cheek. Rousing from a blissful dream, you are greeted by the magnificent shards of golden sunlight streaming through the narrow spaces between the drapes. As if on cue, the sweet chirping of birds starts wafting in the air, acting like the mesmerizing love song which age-old windblown trees silently dance to.
Your day begins the moment you step out the comforts of your house. Almost instantly, thoughts of strolling along the sunkissed beach just a stone’s throw away pops into your head. The rhythmic splashing of water, in synch with the hushed sound of the wind, causes you to walk in haste.
As your toes dig into fine sand, you feel all the tension of work from the previous weeks get lifted off your shoulders. Instead of hearing the piercing ring of your mobile phone, you hear gales of laughter from little kids frolicking nearby.
Sighing audibly, you close your eyes for a moment. This is the good life, you whisper to yourself, at the same time secretly wishing the feeling would last forever.
Sounds like a fantasy from some overworked career person dying for a break, right?
Well, it may be for now, but in several months, it would not be much of a farfetched idea of living anymore, since Landco Pacific Corp., the multiproduct real estate development firm that started the trend in high-end “residential resorts” and “leisure farms,” has given birth to a new project—Amara en Terrazas, the first oceanside condominium in the country.
The Amara lifestyle
Terraced on 1.6 hectares of rolling terrain, about 75 meters above sea level, Amara en Terrazas is the soon-to-rise 95-unit luxury condominium apartment of the exclusive residential resort community of Terrazas de Punta Fuego in Nasugbu, Batangas, which is two-and-a-half-hour drive from Makati City.
Composed of two main structures called Casa del Mar and Casa de Amor, Amara en Terrazas provides each of its homeowners a dramatic, unobstructed view of the South China Sea and the Terrazas Cove, which is just several meters away.
According to Alfred Xerez-Burgos Jr., president of Landco Pacific Corp., Amara will be the first to afford its owners the convenience of condo living in a bucolic setting, since no real estate developers have ventured into this kind of project yet.
“There’s been a clamor for this type of housing. Some families want ready units,” he said during a roundtable interview in Terrazas de Punta Fuego recently. “They are the ones who don’t want to build their houses anymore.”
Patterned after the Four Seasons Bali in Indonesia, Amara will be a marriage of Asian and Western influences. Its architecture, inspired by Mediterranean elements, such as oversized windows, spacious balconies, and extended eaves—all block-like and sharp-edged—will be softened by wood furnishings and in some units, water features.
Space is maximized in every unit, which is set up like an open suite, providing the owners more flexibility. Panel doors that separate the bedrooms from the living room can be taken away during the day to allow more space. When night falls, they can be slid back in place for more privacy.
Because the price of each unit (two-bedroom or three-bedroom unit) ranges from P8.5 million to P12 million, owners will be lavished with features not found in most condominiums. Garden Units (139 sqm/ two bedrooms), for instance, is furnished with an outdoor jacuzzi and a roomy verandah. Loft units (173 sqm/three bedrooms) are designed with a two-story-high ceiling for the living and dining area and an extended balcony.
Experience Amara
Indeed, Amara en Terrazas came at an opportune time. We now live in what Newsweek Magazine calls an “experience economy,” wherein more and more companies, not just real estate developers, are putting premium on exclusivity, including generous perks to be enjoyed only by its limited clients.
In terms of amenities, Amara will have its own pool, multipurpose pavilion, and clubhouse, which are different from the ones enjoyed by Terrazas homeowners. It will also be equipped with a closed-circuit security system, fire detection and alarm system, sprinkler system, standby power generator, and a sewage treatment plant.
Aside from having a high price, Amara en Terrazas is sold only to Club Punta Fuego members. Thus, share ownership is a prerequisite for anyone who plans of buying a unit.
“What we want our clients to enjoy are exclusivity, comfort, and safety in a beach environment,” Xrerz-Burgos concluded. It may hurt a little bit in the pocket, but in the long run, it’s a wise investment.
Amara en Terrazas: seaside condominium living
The Punta Fuego lifestyle story turns a new page with the Amara en Terrazas Oceanfront Residences, a 95-unit condominium development set for launch within the year. Located in a premier spot atop a cliff overlooking Terrazas Beach and the South China Sea, these luxury apartments boast of 95 unique views of the sea and Nasugbu’s golden sunset.
Conceptualized for those seeking high-quality living appointments but who do not want to go through the hassle of designing and constructing themselves, AMARA was designed with the utmost convenience of its future residents in mind. Aside from the ease of simply moving into a ready built unit, AMARA offers lock-up convenience and round the clock security and property maintenance for those who would rather spend their time enjoying instead of worrying about their private retreats.
The apartments delightfully embrace the outdoors with large windows, balconies and extended eaves—heightening your encounter with Mother Nature at every turn. Clusters of three- and seven-storey structures will house 95 units composed of two- and three-bedroom apartments all with absolutely unobstructed views of the South China Sea. The whole development reflects the same fusion of classic Spanish Mediterranean and tropical architectural themes of Terrazas de Punta Fuego,
From the street, only the four uppermost floors will be visible creating a low-density ambience throughout the community. Each cluster will be accessed by trellised bridges. Adding to the resort ambience are lush tropical landscaping, meandering walkways and water features. The project
will also have its own modern amenities, aside from the existing club amenities, and a dedicated property management group to handle its operations.
