Isla Ingalan is an untouched 47-hectare (116 Acre) virgin island located less than 10 kilometers off the shores of Camarines Norte. The island is a relatively large body of ingeous rock with half of the area covered in light to medium foliage, and the other half with a small mountainous ridge and cliffside caves.
The portion facing the mainland is a long strip of white sand beach (approximately 800 meters long) with relatively good shoreline depths - enough for large deep keel pump boats to come straight up to the sand. The island belongs to a cluster called the Calaguas Group of Islands, however, Isla Ingalan is the closest in proximity to the mainland. As of now, there is only 1 resident living on the island and he is currently under the employment of the owner as a caretaker.
The nearest mainland towns are Paracale (Gold Mining Town) or Daet (Surfing tourism town where the popular Bagasbas surfing beach is located). These are relatively progressive towns and the roads to these places are in very good condition if one is to take a 7 hour car ride from Manila. The nearest airport is the one located in the town of Daet - however - commercial flights are not available to this place. Only chartered flights can be arranged. The nearest commercial airport is the one located in the city of Naga - which is about 90 minutes by car to the town of Daet. However, the owner have made a crude and makeshift helicopter landing pad on Isla Ingalan, so those who wish to visit the island via chopper can do so quite easily. A chopper ride to Isla Ingalan from Manila takes about 40 minutes.
