This villa being offered for sale comes with the maximum duty free concession granted by the local Government for a Yacht ($1 million)is located on the lagoon front in phase 1 of the marina. Berth for this lovely villa is 50 feet.

The villa comprises three levels:
The patio, living, dining rooms and kitchen are on the ground level, two ensuite guest bedrooms on the second level and the master bedroom suite with sitting room is on the third level, and enjoys glimpses of the ocean across the lagoon.

On entering the private courtyard you will find a fountain and some mature shrubs lining the pathway to the front doorway. As we go further into this luxury villa you will find a washroom to the immediate left and the finely crafted spacious kitchen is to your right sculpted with a bar top that looks through the dining & living areas onto the patio and sparkling lagoon. A full laundry area which leads onto a private service bay is also found off the kitchen.

The patio is very functional with dining for 4, lounge area, fountain feature plunge pool bordered by a built-in planter and a seperate Jacuzzi.

The air-conditioned guest bedrooms are found on the second level one of which has a balcony overlooking the lagoon, walk through closet and double vanity.
The last flight of steps leads to the master suite. This retreat has spectacular vistas over the lagoon and even its own seperate sitting room. The grand bathroom can be found as you walk through the closet hall and it even wraps around into a unique standing shower just off the sitting room.

Port St.Charles Yacht Club offers all day dining and bar service in an open air setting with friendly service and a panoramic view of the PSC beaches, West Coast and yachts at berth. Deck loungers are provided on the deck for sunning and a staircase into the sea complements the heated pool for swimming.

Sunset Island
Our Sunset Island is a picturesque island with a swimming pool for the use of owners and residents. A great place to meet your friends relax and watch the sun set on an evening.

Hair Dressing and Beauty Salon
A salon offering cuts, colour and styling for ladies and gents as well as manicure, pedicure, facials, massages and waxing are all offered as well. Book early to look your best!

Exercise Room
A fully equipped, air-conditioned exercise room is available for the use of residents and guests. Cardio-vascular equipment, weight machines and free weights are offered. The room is open 24 hours a day. Personal trainers available on request.

Tennis Courts
There are two flood-lit tennis courts, located at the south end of the property. There is no charge for the use of the courts. A limited number of Raquets are available for loan and there are balls for sale. Bookings are necessary.

Port St. Charles has six mega-yacht berths located on the offshore breakwater that can accomodate yachts up to 250ft. We also have two offshore anchoring mooring buoys that can accomodate yachts in excess of 250ft.

We are an official port of entry with Immigration, customs, coastguard and police.

Customs requires that you clear out of the port that you cleared into. The 2 ports in Barbados are the Bridgetown commercial port and the Port St Charles marina.

In either case you must proceed directly to the port of clearance and contact them for directions of where to berth. You may not anchor and dinghy in.

Once berthed you will need to visit Customs, Immigration, Port Authority and Health officials.

AREA DESCRIPTION

Port St.Charles is a 10 acre residential waterfront enclave set around a yacht marina near Speightstown on the West Coast of Barbados. It has around 150 extremely comfortable residences of various sizes that encircle a lagoon and curl around onto a lovely section of beach.

The centre of Speightstown, the island’s second largest town, is within a reasonable walking distance and takes around 15 minutes (you can take the beach route past Almond Beach Village or walk along the road) or just a couple of minutes by car. Once known as Little Bristol because of connections to Bristol on the west coast of England, Speightstown still has a feel of old time Barbados about it. On the seafront at the centre of town you will find the newly renovated fish market and there are often fruit and vegetable sellers known as “hucksters” selling at the road side. There are also a couple of local restaurants and bars and a smattering of shops, including a reasonably well stocked supermarket. The nearest good restaurants to the south are Mango's by the Sea, on the waterfront in Speightstown, and The Terrace at Cobblers Cove Hotel (5* boutique hotel)just beyond the town. The celeb favourite Lone Star about 10 minutes away. Heading north there is the Fish Pot at Little Good Harbour, just a couple of minutes by car.

A simple supper in one of the local fishing villages has become a popular option for a Friday or Saturday night out. You will find small wooden fish stalls interspersed with make-shift bars right on the beach at the side of the road, or an occasional rustic dining area perched above the sea. Try the villages in the north of St Peter or in St Lucy, say Shermans or Half Moon Fort. Local fishing boats are still built in this area and can be seen under construction along the road side.

There are good central facilities too around the marina’s Grand and Petit Canals, including a pool and bar, a gym, beauty salon, tennis courts, even mega yacht berths, as well as the new Club, set just offshore, with its lunchtime restaurant, pool and bar. As a gated community around the only marina on Barbados, set quite far north on the prestigious West Coast, Port St Charles has a secluded and discernible club feel that attracts a small legion of extremely private wealthy owners. It also has one of the island’s best restaurants, La Mer.

A complimentary water taxi is available (currently 9am to 9pm on Mon & Sun and 8am to 10pm from Tue-Sat) to to ferry guests from within the marina to the pool, beach and the beach club facilities. Alternatively you might find that a hired car is more convenient and as many of the apartments are a good few minutes walk to the front Lobby, La Mer restaurant and around to the beach club.

Beach & Swimming
There are two superb white sand beaches (on either side of the lagoon entrance) at Port St. Charles, the smaller more northerly of which is popular with children. The main beach is a glorious 1300ft stretch of broad sand running in front of the beachfront apartments. Both beaches are served by the water taxi and beach chairs are provided. Snorkelling gear and kayaks are available for guests to use. A popular water activity is swimming with Port St.Charles’ family of resident turtles.

There are two swimming pools. One, located on the Sunset Isle within the main lagoon along the Grand Canal, has a sun terrace plus sundeck and docking area. There is a large freeform infinity edge swimming pool with swim-up bar and a small man-made bay to give access to the lagoon for swimming. The second, newer swimming pool is located on the man-made island at the Port St Charles Club. This infinity edge pool faces the mega yacht dock and also has a swim-up bar. A large area of sundeck has docking facilities plus entry steps into the sea. Good swimmers can easily swim across to the North Beach.

Sports & Recreation
Port St.Charles has two floodlit tennis courts which can be used by guests free of charge. Tennis balls are available for purchase and a limited number of rackets are for loan. There is also an air-conditioned, fully equipped fitness centre which is available for guests 24hrs a day. It features cardio-vascular equipment, weight machines and free weights. Personal trainers are available on request. A beauty salon offers massage and other treatments. Watersports can be arranged and snorkelling equipment and kayaks are available for guests’ use.

The nearest golf course is at Royal Westmoreland about 15 minutes drive away, which has some tee times open to outsiders in the mid morning. Otherwise about 20 minutes away there are two courses open to the public at Sandy Lane, which also has tennis courts.
