Scheduled Server Outage
Our web host is migrating to a new network, and the server will be taken down for maintenance for about two hours starting at the following time.
10:00 PM July 17
Note that though scheduled for two hours only, the work may take longer. Moreover, propagation issues may result in the website being unavailable for several days.
We apologise for the inconvenience.

Slight Hiccup
Hopefully you didn't notice, but our system was not behaving properly for about 20 minutes today. This is because we were re-engineeering the arrangement of our database, yet again.
Profuse Apologies
Our website was down for half a day. It was a very long outage.
We take full responsibility for this. Unfortunately, since we are 100% free, we do not have our own data center, and we have to carefully select the server we host with for financial performance.
It is clear that we did not do a good enough job selecting our web host.
We are hosting with eBoundHost.com, which we started using in October. We selected this company to provide our web hosting needs because of good feedback regarding their support, and because their plans are affordable.
However, what we discovered was that their support has been incompetent and hard to come by. And today we had a 12 hour outage, which in this day and age is unacceptable. At the time of writing, we still have received no explanation from eBoundHost regarding why our server was dead for half a day.
Needless to say, we will be moving to a different web host soon. We are aware this will cause further problems, as we will have to shut accounts down while the website data is moved. But I'm sure you'll agree that the pain of a move will be worth it.
I apologise deeply to all our valued users who posted listings with us, and to those customers who tried to visit the website to view listings. I understand that you were all terribly inconvenienced. I understand that you were let down.
Unfortunately, I cannot guarantee that it will not happen again. But I will do my best that it won't, and I will put my money where my mouth is. From now on we will be paying for hosting three times as much as we were paying previously. This leaves our revenues near zero, but you, the users, are more important to us than revenues.
We hope you will forgive us and keep adding listings to Ah Yer! Malaysia

Slow Server
Our apologies, our server was a little slow today, due to some technical issues on the web server. But our web hosting company fixed it pretty quick, and things seem to be back to normal now.
